I need you to draw me a nail design. The clean color is navy blue, and there are polka dots on the first, third, and last nail. And the one beside the thumb, I want two lines, silver, silver glitter lines, just two lines that are like, I don't know how to tell you, but not straight, but not horizontal or vertical, like in the middle of them, and two, and a bit big, but not too big. And on the fourth one, I want two snowflakes that are medium-sized, and one in the bottom left, and one in the middle right.

A propaganda poster in the style of 1940s American wartime art, celebrating the fall of Berlin. The main image is a large, powerful, brown leather G.I. combat boot with a heavy sole, crushing a broken, red and black swastika emblem on a debris-filled, cobbled street. Behind the boot, the iconic, bombed-out dome of the Reichstag building is silhouetted against a dramatic, stylized sunrise with rays of light breaking through dark, swirling clouds. In the middle ground, on the left, a muscular American factory worker in blue overalls and a hard hat, with a wrench in his hand, clasps the hand of a smiling American soldier in a helmet and fatigues, who is holding a rifle. Both figures are looking towards the viewer with determined expressions. The background is a stark, desaturated cityscape of rubble and ruined buildings. The color palette is dominated by bold reds, whites, and blues, with sepia tones for the ruins. At the very top, in large, blocky, distressed red letters, is the slogan: "YOU HELPED SMASH THEM!" Below it, in a slightly smaller, sans-serif white font, is the subtext: "Berlin has fallen! Your labor in the factories and your war bonds put the steel in our tanks and the wings on our planes. Don't stop now—let’s finish the job in the Pacific!" The entire poster has a textured, aged look, as if printed on coarse paper and stapled to a wooden wall.

A highly detailed mystical elemental convergence symbol, designed as an intricate symmetrical fantasy emblem. Four elemental forces merge into one central composition: ethereal pale blue energy, glowing golden fire, deep crimson ember flames, and glossy black obsidian energy. Elegant flowing flame-like ribbons and wisps spiral inward from all four directions toward a luminous circular core at the center. The elements intertwine and transform into one another, creating a sense of motion, balance, fusion, and convergence. Ornamental celestial details, thin glowing filaments, small floating particles and circular energy motifs, dramatic luminous highlights, intricate linework, polished fantasy concept art, symmetrical composition, vertically oriented, isolated central emblem, light blue atmospheric background, rich red-orange-gold and deep black-blue contrast, ethereal magical glow, sophisticated and premium, no text, no characters, no objects, no border.

The Porcelain Crown

Chapter 1

The ballroom had never looked more extravagant. Sparkling chandeliers hung elegantly, looking like stars in the black night sky.
I could hear the tink of champagne glasses already.
Tables lined the exterior edges of the room, the most divinely delicious hors d’oeuvres placed atop them. I inhaled the scent of butter and chocolate, some of my most favorite things.
The room glistened in the setting sunlight, golden hues making it all look ethereal.
I followed Miriam, the maid I had befriended years ago, into the chaos of it all, watching as all the help scurried about. Everyone was preparing for our annual Founding Day ball, celebrating the founding of our beloved nation, Veloire. Guests were set to arrive in a matter of minutes, and Mother always made sure things were set to polished perfection.
Nothing short of it, not for the Queen.
I watched as my stunning mother swayed into the ballroom, her sapphire satin gown with golden embroidery flowing behind her. Every step she took demanded attention, and servants bowed as she crossed the room.
“Seraphine, dear! Oh, how beautiful. You are an image this evening.”
Mother grabbed my hands and her soft smile lines calmed the chaos of the goings on around us.
“Thank you, Mother. Miriam and Eloise finished my gown this morning. Isn’t it a dream?”
I did a little spin to prove my point.
The dress truly was a dream. It looked like it was made of roses, with soft tulle fabric water-falling down, embroidered flowers covering my sleeves and swimming down the skirt.
My maids were simply gifted.
Mother tucked a loose strand of brown hair behind my ear, looking to tidy my updo.
“Divine,” was all she said, before walking towards the balcony to monitor the crowd piling in through the gates.

Chapter 11

The walk home was unwelcoming.
Our silence was unsettling, and my conscience was at war within me, so much so that, despite my arm being linked with Bastien’s, I lacked the ability to walk straight.
We hadn’t said our farewells’ to the lovely hosts, mostly because we thought better of walking back into that crowded inn.
My eyes felt heavy with sleep, but also from all of my crying.
Bastien’s eyes were locked on the cobblestone street, and I followed him with mine.
Every step he took felt purposeful, as if he were determined to get me home safe without being seen.
I wondered what it meant for me, now that Bastien knew.
The past few days had been spent walking on glass, afraid I might fall through and mess everything up.
But perhaps, with another two minds carrying the same secret, I wouldn’t be walking alone.
Mr. Waverly had said he was looking out for me, trodding ahead to detect any danger.
And Bastien. It seemed that he would be stepping beside me.
“When we get home, you do not say a word to my parents- understand?”
Startled by his voice, my head swirling with the snowflakes, I nodded.
“Yes. Yes, of course.”
“Good. We must tell them of the wonderful evening we had, especially given my father’s health. But once we speak to them, we must meet in the stable. You and I need to discuss everything. We need a plan in place.”
Bastien was taking charge, and I could visualize the weight of nineteen years lifting slowly, him helping me carry it all.
“Absolutely.”
The serious expression on his face told me that, despite my fears of the Thatcher's finding out, Bastien finding out may have been a blessing.
Now, I wasn’t completely alone.
I just prayed it wouldn’t put this kind family in danger.

By the time we arrived back at the Thatcher home, the windows let out a soft glow, likely Winnie sitting by the fire, awaiting our return.
It crushed me just a bit to know that we would be lying to her kind face.
Though, I suppose, not everything would be false.
Bastien a
