A kinetic sand sculpture enclosed in a 20-foot diameter circular glass case. The sand, dyed in shades of blue, green, and purple, is constantly in motion, driven by hidden mechanisms beneath the surface. The patterns formed by the sand mimic the ebb and flow of tides, but on a much faster timescale. Every few minutes, the entire landscape transforms, revealing hidden structures or submerging existing ones. Fiber optic lights embedded in the sand create the illusion of bioluminescent organisms, their glow intensifying and fading with the movement of the sand. A subtle, low-frequency sound accompanies the installation, reminiscent of deep ocean currents.
