This installation piece fills an entire room. The floor is a mirror, reflecting a ceiling covered in thousands of suspended glass shards, each ranging from 1 to 12 inches in length. On each shard is a fragment of a photograph - a glimpse of an eye, a slice of a smile, the corner of a building. As viewers walk through the room, their movements cause the shards to gently sway, creating a constantly shifting kaleidoscope of memories above and below. Soft, warm light emanates from hidden sources, causing the glass to glitter and cast intricate shadows. The overall effect is both disorienting and mesmerizing, a physical manifestation of the fragmented nature of memory.
