A 10x10 foot interactive sound and light installation. The piece consists of a dark room with thousands of hanging fiber optic strands that viewers can walk through. When a strand is touched, it lights up and triggers a unique musical note. Multiple strands can be activated simultaneously, allowing viewers to create their own audiovisual compositions. The colors of the lights and the pitch of the notes are determined by the position of the strand within the room, creating a three-dimensional instrument. Hidden cameras track the movements of viewers, causing nearby strands to light up softly in response, giving the impression of neurons firing in a giant brain.
